Project 4

This time, it’s personal

And so we begin the final descent from Motion Design. Whew, what a doozy it’s been.

Part I: Mood Boards

Concept 1: Spring Break 2022

heavily inspired by VMAS and Nike. I wanted something youthful and fun for everyone (ages 21+).

Concept 2: Motion City Soundtrack Tour

Listen man, I don’t make the rules. Pink, black, and gray is sort of their thing with this album. Mind you, the pink I use is much more vibrant and less red, but that’s besides the point. This is a major album from my childhood and what better way to do something that I love than to jump into their SEVENTEENTH YEAR ANNIVERSARY. Whew. Time. Flies.

Part II: Poster Concepts

I didn’t really know what I was doing for this one so I went and made a second of my other idea (promise it’s not a bias, I’m just a sleepy boy)
These posters I whipped together to commemorate Motion City Soundtrack’s 17 year tour of Commit this to Memory—an album that I hold near and dear to my heart (no pun intended).

Part III: Static Poster

SO I decided to remake my poster because I kinda hated the direction I was going in. Process work sure helps, doesn’t it?

There. That’s better. Now, to animation.

yeah so that’s done. woo.

Oh, ah ah ah ah (Down with the Sickness)

So I took all of your feedback in to consideration and made this, with the wavy little guys like I said I was going to do. I decided against using the worms because it felt like it would have been too busy and I think the dots gave it enough effect to make it watery. I did a lot of liquid this semester, so doing something abstracted of liquid really helps.

Here be the Final. Enjoy
